Obituary for Alberta P. Piske (Meyer)
Alberta P. Piske, 100, of Bangor died on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Mulder Health Care Center in West Salem, WI. She was born on June 29, 1915 in Burns Township, La Crosse County to Herman and Rose (Younke) Meyer. She was Baptized, Confirmed and Married by Pastor C.W. Siegler in St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bangor. Alberta married Theodore “Ted” Piske on September 11, 1937 in Bangor. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Ladies Aid and the Burnham Valley Homemakers Club.
Waiting to join her in Glory are 2 daughters: Karla (Darrell) Sampson and Koleen Piske both of Minneapolis, MN; 2 granddaughters: Robyn (Dan) Swiderski of Minneapolis, MN and Kelly (Dan) Nommensen of Mequon, WI; 5 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Kyle and Ryan Swiderski and Kayla and Joshua Nommensen; 1 brother Harlan (Pat) Meyer of West Salem, WI; 2 sisters-in-law Beverly Meyer of Des Moines, IA and Alice Piske of West Salem, WI; many nieces and nephews. Sharing heaven with her are her parents, husband Ted, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and 2 infant great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 29, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bangor. The Rev. Roy Hefti will officiate. Burial will follow In the Burns Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bangor or to Luther High School in Onalaska.
