Lorraine Schmitt, 76, of Onalaska passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was born in Buffalo County to Eugene and Armella (Schlesser) Schmidtknecht. Lorraine graduated from Alma High School. She married Dean Schmitt, they later divorced.

Over the years she worked in retail, then for many years as a server at Michael’s Cerise, retiring from Kwik Trip. Lorraine was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska.

Lorraine is survived by a daughter Lisa of Rollingstone, MN; 2 sons Lee (Erin) and Lance (Sara) Schmitt; 4 grandchildren Adam, Carson, Wessley and Avery; sisters LaVonne (Sam) Schneider and Lola (Lowell) Hammock. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Laurel and a brother Lowell.
