Obituary for Eunice Caroline "Judy" Richmond (Staevens)

Eunice C. “Judy” Richmond, 94, of La Crosse died on Monday, March 10, 2015 at the Claire Bridge Assisted Living facility in La Crosse. She was born on March 26, 1920 in La Crosse to Harry A. and Clara (Goede) Staeven. She married Palmer M. Richmond on April of 1945. He proceeded her in death in April of 1982.

Judy worked at Expert Studios for a short time during WW II as the photo tinter. She then went on to work as a secretary for the Hartford Insurance Agency in La Crosse and later at NCR in West Salem. She retired in 1990. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed a game of golf. She was a natural athlete. Judy also enjoyed her yard and garden and she had been a member of the local garden club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Judy enjoyed baking her family recipe of chocolate chip cookies and spending time with her grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her son Randy (Lisa) Richmond of Owatonna, MN; 2 grandchildren Jennifer Nusser of Statesboro, GA and Lucas (Christine) Richmond of Oak Creek, WI; 3 great-grandchindren Clay Nusser, Maya Richmond and Staven Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a grand-daughter Raquel Richmond.

Private family services will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in La Crosse.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
