Heartfelt Sympathies

It's not easy to find the words to express what we feel learning that Eric has "left the building" for the last time. He was a friend, a co-creator, a fellow musician, a band mate, a companion on this spiritual journey and a lover of nature in myriad forms. We will miss his unique attitude about life and how we adapt to whatever comes our way. Please contact us regarding arrangements. Thanks. Brett & Marilyn Champlin

Eric was my best friend and brother. I last spoke with him just after Christmas. I've tried to contact him in just the last few days. We had so many wonderful experiences and memories. We always looked forward to getting together at the Shipwreck for lunch. When we would get together we always laughed and reminisced about the things we did growing up. Eric was a big part of my life and always there for me. I will certainly forever miss him. He sent us so many CD's of his music which we greatly value. I've tried to contact his family but don't have a phone numbers. Perhaps one of them will contact me. Happy Trails Eric! God bless you.

Eric and I played many afternoons in his Family basement on 19th street off as Kids. I remember riding my bicycle over with guitar and amplifier from our home on Division street. We had a wonderful friendship going fishing, hiking the bluffs, and trips downtown to see what was new in guitars at A&W Music, Danny's, and Leithold's. Eric and I went through High School together and I always enjoyed his company. He will be missed by many and I am proud to say I knew Eric. His ease and sense of humor was second to none. My sincere condolences to his Siblings and Children.

We are so sorry for your loss. When this happens in our family we need more than human strength. God and his Son can provide what we need. Please review these scriptures : John 5:28-29 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
