Obituary for Eleanor Marie Voigt (Hayse)

Eleanor M. Voigt, 91, of West Salem, died on Friday September 30, 2016 at the Mulder Health Care Facility in West Salem. She was born on September 25, 1925 to Clarence F. and Ida (Kumbier) Heyse in Antigo, WI.
Eleanor worked for several years at Jeannie’s Dress Shop in Antigo, WI, until she married Leslie Voigt on June 22, 1957 in Antigo, WI. She and Les moved around the state for several years until they purchased the Funeral Home in Cochrane, WI. Together they ran the funeral home for over 20 years. Following their retirement, they moved to the La Crosse are to be closer to family. Les preceded her in death in 2011.

Eleanor is survived by 2 children: Dorothy (Scott) Payne of La Crosse and Paul Voigt (Fiancé Lorna Lynn Fernandez) of Onalaska, WI; Grandsons Greg (Sarah) Payne, Alex (Kimberlin) Payne, Adrian Voigt and Erik Voigt; Great Grandchildren Madelyn, Benton and Ava; and a Sister-in-law Jean Heyse. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Robert Heyse.

Private Family Services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Fossum Funeral Home in Onalaska. Rev. Joel Stuebs will Officiate. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery in West Salem. Online Condolences may be left at www.fossumfuneralhome.com.
