Obituary for Dorothy Jane Westlie (Williamson)

Dorothy J. Westlie, 91, of Holmen, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in La Crosse.

She was born in Ettrick on January 25, 1925 to Thomas and Edith (Williamson) Stellflue. She was the youngest of 12 children. Dorothy married Orville P. Westlie on January 22, 1944 and he preceded her in death on November 13, 2009. Dorothy is survived by four children: Gary (Kay) of Holmen; Allen (Trecia) of Kuttawa, KY; Duane (Debbie) of Lodi; and Diane (Michael) Gautsch of Onalaska. Dorothy is further survived by seven grandchildren: Tami (Lance) Bagstad; Paul (Jennnifer) Westlie; Ryan Westlie; Kyle Westlie; Jessie Gautsch; Tegan Krueger; and Tanya (Bryce) Haessly. Also surviving Dorothy are eight great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild and one step great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Larry and JoAnne Mahlum of Holmen.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her 11 siblings.

At her wishes, she was cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date at the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum in the Catholic Cemetery in La Crosse.
