Obituary for Dianne M. Glomstad
Dianne M. Glomstad, 86, of Onalaska, WI died on Sunday January 31, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 12, 1934, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth Lauritzen. Growing up she worked on the family farm and loved to dance. She met the love of her life, Byron E. Glomstad at the Avalon Ball Room. Shortly after, they were married on November 5, 1955. Together they loved to travel to different parts of the United States, along with visiting the casino and playing cards.
Dianne and Byron bought a home in Midway, WI. Where they raised their three children. Dianne’s greatest joy in life was being a mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her five granddaughters and six great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Dianne was such a kindhearted, caring person who will be missed dearly.
Dianne is survived by her three children: Cheryl Glomstad of Onalaska, WI, Steve Glomstad of Trempealeau, WI, and Joann (Jim) Trussoni of Genoa, WI; five grandchildren: Eli (Tim Herried) Glomstad of Hixton, WI, Courtney (Jeremy) Johnson of La Crescent, MN, Annie (Dalton Olson) Glomstad of Whitehall, WI, and Cassidy and Jenna Trussoni of Genoa, WI; six great-grandchildren: Loreali, Byron, Nathaniel, Chandler, Chole and Logan; two sisters Jackie Hoage of Menomonie, WI and Barb (Dick) Hart of Zumbrota, MN; one brother-in-law Russell (Betty) Glomstad of Galesville, WI and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Byron, her parents Louis and Elizabeth Lauritzen; two sisters Ruth and Gloria; a granddaughter Amy Glomstad.
Private services will be held at the Fossum Funeral and Cremation Service in Onalaska, WI. The Rev Matt Toso will officiate. Burial will follow in the Long Coulee Cemetery in Holmen, WI. Online condolences may be left at www.Fossumfuneralhome.com.
