David John Olson, age 67, of Madison and formerly Onalaska, WI, died on Monday December 7th, 2020 at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born on October 2nd, 1953 in La Crosse, WI to John and Katherine (née Schultz) Olson. David joined the Navy in 1972. He worked as a general contractor and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union, Local 1143 in Madison, WI. He graduated from Blackstone Career Institute with a certificate in their Legal Assistant/Paralegal program. David enjoyed carpentry, traveling, and outings with his family. David loved his family and said so every day.

David is survived by his 3 daughters: Christine Olson (Matthew Alston) of Madison, WI, Leah Olson of Fitchburg, WI and Katie Olson of La Crosse, WI; 3 grandchildren: Will, Christopher and M.J.; 4 sisters: Susan Olson of St. Paul, MN, Kari Olson of Blaine, MN, Krista Wolfe of Blaine, MN and Barbara Czaplewski of New Brighton, MN; a niece, a nephew, and extended family. He was preceded in death by baby brother, Danny, and his parents.

Funeral services and a memorial gathering will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 17th, 2020, at Fossum Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery in Whitehall, WI.
