Obituary for David LeRoy Broers
Rockland, WI: David L. Broers, 75, of Rockand passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Franciscan Healthcare La Crosse surrounded by his family. He was born on January 8, 1942 in Waseca, Minnesota to Walter and Norma (Mokoff) Broers. David graduated from Waseca High School and enlisted in the US Army for 2 years. He then attended VOCO Tech Barber School in Minneapolis MN. He married Carolyn Matson on December 1, 1963. He barbered until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn; a daughter Elizabeth (Dan) Bohner of West Salem; 3 sons: Scott (Lorena) Broers of Rochester, MN and Justin Broers of Rockland, WI, and Nathan Broers of Browersville, MN; Grandchildren Derek and Marie Bohner of Columbus, WI, Vanessa Bohner of West Salem and Jacob and Iana Broers of Rochester MN and Julia Broers of Browersville, MN; a brother Robert (Barb) Broers of Waterville, MN and a sister Linda (Ken) Koorndyk of California.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday July 13, 2017 at the La Crosse Seventh Day Adventist Church 2117, La Crosse Street, La Crosse, WI. Pastor Michael Ehm will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Online condolences may be left at www.fossumfuneralhome.com
